Introducing New Education Methods into Our Program

Preparing children to adapt in our world starts at home and extends to include every other aspect of their life, especially in educational surroundings. A happy, well-rounded child is not only loved, but nurtured in a way that caters to their individual personalities so that they too, can shine in their own light.

Educational institutions are working hard to adopt curriculums to teach the whole child, rather than educate based on strict standards. Academy Award winning actress Goldie Hawn has teamed up with neuroscientists, cognitive psychologists and educators to create a learning program where “students learn to self-regulate behavior and mindfully engage in focused concentration required for academic success.”

The MindUP program is research-based and includes 15 lessons centered around neuroscience. The program was developed to help students improve their academic performance as well as boost their ability to have empathy and kindness. MindUP also supports complex problem solving skills.

Goldie Hawn has dedicated much time and effort to develop MindUP where a child’s potential is nurtured so they can succeed academically and thrive based upon their own well-being. The MindUP program does not only focus on academics, it also helps to reduce a child’s stress so that they can concentrate.

Building a community of learners, teachers and students can expect the following from MindUP:

A maintained focused attention on the tasks at hand A clearer ability to think while under pressure Improved communication between parents, staff and students A positive classroom environment filled with optimism and hope An enthusiastic and vibrant school culture

Since the MindUP program has enriched the lives of so many people who’ve been introduced to it, the Steadfast Academy is proud to start using The programs methods for education purposes.
